Report outlines new figure that Crystal Palace want for Spurs target Wan-Bissaka

It seems only natural that Mauricio Pochettino would look to invest in a new right-back this summer after sub-par performances from both Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier last season.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Sun), as well as newly-promoted Norwich’s Max Aarons (Football London).

It appears that Spurs want to invest money in a young, English, up and coming right-back to occupy the slot for years to come.

However, Manchester United have now had two bids rejected for Wan-Bissaka this transfer window (Metro), without any reports of efforts from Spurs to compete for his signature.

The Independent now report that Crystal Palace want £70m for their breakthrough star of last season, with £50m minimum coming up front and a potential £20m in add-ons.

Manchester United are said to be meeting with Palace on today to discussing a possible signing.

It seems unlikely that Spurs will come in with a last minute offer for the 21-year-old, and Daniel Levy is not one to spend that kind of money on any player, let alone a relatively unproven young right-back.
