Report: Paratici could convince Spurs to make big offer for 26-year-old

InterLive.it claim that Fabio Paratici is driving Tottenham’s interest in Albert Gudmundsson and that the Italian could convince the club to make a big offer for the Genoa star that would blow Inter Milan out of the water.

The speculation linking Gudmundsson with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive over the last few weeks, with various outlets suggesting that the Premier League side are ready to battle Inter Milan and Juventus for the midfielder’s services (FcInterNews).

InterLive have now brought an update on the Iceland international’s future, suggesting that Tottenham, led by Paratici, could make an offer that the Nerazzurri would struggle to match.

Tottenham’s plans for Albert Gudmundsson

The report explains that Tottenham’s former managing director of football, who now works as a consultant for the club, is ‘intent on continuing to move in the shadows’ and he is still said to have the trust of Daniel Levy.

The former Juve director is alleged to be a fan of Gudmundsson and is reportedly ready to make a move for the Genoa star on behalf of Spurs.

The outlet points out that Inter can only sign the midfielder on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for €30m (£25.6m).

However, the publication asserts that Paratici could persuade Sprus to ‘raise the offer’ to €40m (£34.2m) including add-ons, which would be a concern for Inter.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have a good relationship with Genoa and it would not surprise me if the the Lilywhites start laying the groundwork for an early summer deal for Gudmundsson in order to steal a march on Inter and the other potential competitors.
