Report: Paratici could launch ‘attempt’ to sign £12.5m-rated star for Spurs

Tottenham could push to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer with managing director Fabio Paratici thought to be a fan of the midfielder, according to CalcioMercato.

Rabiot joined Juve from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, though his future at the club could now be up in the air with just over a year remaining on his current deal (Transfermarkt).

The 27-year-old has made 40 appearances for Massimiliano Allegri’s side this season (Transfermarkt), but Juventus are now said to be thinking about their next cause of action regarding the Frenchman.

CalcioMercato report that a bid of around £12.5 million (€15m) would be enough to seal his exit from the Allianz Stadium with Spurs lurking in the background as potential suitors.

Club chief Paratici signed Rabiot for Juventus during his stint at the club and the report notes the Italian is still an admirer of the player and could launch an ‘attempt’ to bring him to North London.

If Spurs do hold an interest in Rabiot, then it would be one that will split opinion between the fans. Question marks would be raised over whether he improves the Spurs midfield and whether he has the correct mentality for a Conte side.
