Report: Paratici could offer player to Juventus to get Kulusevski discount

CMW.it have claimed that Fabio Paratici could look to offer Brayn Gil to Juventus in January to wave some of the fee Tottenham would have to pay to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently.

Kulusevski has been a revelation since joining Spurs from Juventus in January on an initial loan deal, with the Swede taking to the Premier League like a duck to water.

The 22-year-old had carried on from where he left off at the start of the 2022-23 campaign and his absence has certainly been felt by Antonio Conte’s men over recent weeks, with the Swede being out with a hamstring problem.

Fabrizio Romano revealed last month that there is ‘no doubt’ that Tottenham will sign Kulusevski permanently.

He explained that the North London club would have an obligation to buy the player for €35m (£31.3m) if they finish in the top four this season, failing which the club will have the option to buy him for the same amount.

CMW.it have now claimed that Tottenham are expected to take up the option to sign Kulusevski permanently for the aforementioned price but Paratici is contemplating a way to get a ‘strong discount’ for the winger.

It is explained that the Spurs managing director of football is prepared to offer Gil to his former club as part of the payment for Kulusevski.

It does not seem like Gil is part of Conte’s plans and if Spurs were to sign an attacking player in January, one would expect the Spaniard to leave, either on loan or permanently. I would not be surprised if the 21-year-old is sold but it remains to be seen if Juve will be interested in the winger.
