Report: Paratici developments set to accelerate as he flies back to Tottenham

The Daily Mail have revealed that Fabio Paratici has now jetted back to England to face the growing uncertainty over his future at Tottenham after news of his global ban emerged.

Paratici had been handed a 30-month ban from all football and administrative activities in Italy back in January after Juventus’ capital giants trial, and on Tuesday FIFA extended that ban to all leagues around the world (Sky Sports News).

This means that should the Italian’s appeal, which will be heard on April 19, not prove successful, he will not be able to continue at Spurs (The Guardian).

In fact, The Telegraph claimed on Wednesday that the 50-year-old’s future at Tottenham is already in major doubt, with the club now consulting with their lawyers regarding their next steps.

The Mail have now revealed that Paratici spent the start of the week in Italy and was in his homeland when the news of Conte’s departure was announced.

However, the Tottenham managing director of football has now allegedly flown back to London, and it is asserted that developments over his future are now set to accelerate.

Tottenham have a difficult choice to make now.

They could either part ways with Paratici, which would set the project back to square one and leave them requiring a new director of football before they can think of approaching managerial candidates.

The other option would be to wait for the hearing of the appeal on April 19 but the club would be risking even further PR damage, with the start of criminal proceedings scheduled for May.
