Report: Paratici has ‘moved to test the ground’ over signing 29-year-old

According to Tuttosport (19/03/22 edition – as relayed by Sport Witness), Fabio Paratici has already made the first move to explore the possibility of reuniting with Paulo Dybala at Tottenham.

Dyabal’s current contract at Juventus runs out at the end of the season (Transfermarkt) and over recent weeks, Tottenham have been established as one of the leading contenders to land the player (Sport).

Juventus were set to sit down with the Argentine’s entourage this month to restart talks over a new deal (Gazzetta dello Sport) but some sources indicated there were issues that might prevent the negotiations from going ahead as planned (Sport Mediaset).

Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano then revealed today that Dybala would be leaving Juventus as a free agent in June after talks came to a dead end.

According to TuttoSport’s latest update, several clubs including Tottenham are lining up a potential move for the 28-year-old if he does on agree on a new deal with the Old Lady.

The report adds that offers have already arrived from Spain and England for the forward, including one from Spurs.

It is explained that Paratici was the man who brought Dybala to Juve and that the Tottenham managing director has already ‘moved to test the ground’ on a possible summer transfer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect there will be plenty more twists and turns in this Dybala saga over the next couple of months. If he does become available for free, one would expect plenty of clubs from around Europe to show interest.

One thing that could prevent Tottenham from pushing the boat out to get Dybala is if Kulusevski continues the impressive start he has made to his Spurs career.
