Report: Paratici met with representatives of striker who will be free agent next summer

According to Foot Mercato, Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the race to sign FC Nantes forward Randal Kolo Muani, who is expected to be available on a free transfer next summer.

Muani made his debut for Nantes as a teenager back in 2018 but the forward hit the limelight last season, scoring 9 goals and registering 4 assists in 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 club.

Foot Mercato reveal that the France Under-21 international has no intention of renewing his contract which runs out at the end of the season, and is expected to be available on a free transfer.

The report reveals that Eintracht Frankfurt were ready to pay a transfer fee for the striker during the summer transfer window and the German club continue to hold an interest in the player.

It is claimed that Spurs, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich have now also entered the race for the 22-year-old.

The report then goes on to add that Tottenham’s managing director Fabio Paratici met ‘very recently’ with Muani’s entourage to discuss a potential move to North London.

With several players’ contracts running out next summer, we are going to see more free transfers go through than possibly ever before in recent history.

Hopefully, this is where Paratici’s contacts will come in handy for Spurs in helping the club a head start over some of our competitors.
