Calciomercato have claimed that Fabio Paratici is in talks with the representatives of Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso over a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tolisso has fallen down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena, with the midfielder having made just two appearances (as a substitute) in the Bundesliga so far this campaign.

The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Spurs during the summer transfer window, with the possibility of a swap deal with Tanguy Ndombele being mooted.

CalcioMercato now claim that the French international has decided not to renew his contract with Bayern, which runs out next summer.

Paratici is said to be a longtime admirer of the former Lyon man and the Spurs managing director is thought to have made contact with his agent but it is mentioned the talks are not yet advanced.

The report goes on to add that Atletico Madrid also hold an interest in Tolisso and that Juventus could enter the race for the midfielder if they are unable to strike a deal for Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tolisso would certainly be an upgrade on Winks and his experience will add a lot to our squad. However, my only concern with the 27-year-old is his poor injury record over the last few years.

However, if he is available on a cut-price deal in January (or a free transfer in the summer), I can see why Paratici and co would be tempted by the deal.
