Report: Paratici ‘particularly likes’ Serie A player – Spurs linked with possible move

CalcioMercato have claimed that Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie could end up at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

McKennie was reported to be on Antonio Conte’s wishlist ahead of the January transfer window, with the Italian allegedly viewing the Juve star as the new Arturo Vidal (Gazzetta).

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Giovanni Albanese claimed last week that Spurs could launch an offer for the 23-year-old.

CalcioMercato have now explained that the USA international is one of the players who is expected to leave this summer in order to make way for Paul Pogba, who the Bianconeri are said to be keen on signing.

The report claims that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are paying close attention to the Italian market, as evidenced by Spurs’ signing of Perisic and interest in Alessandro Bastoni.

It is said that Paratici ‘particularly likes’ McKennie and that the USA international could be about to follow Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski to North London.

Spurs Web Opinion

I have no doubt that Tottenham will be in the market for an attacking midfielder, with Dele having left and with Ndombele and Lo Celso on their way out this summer.

Eriksen might be the club’s number one target, given that he is proven in the Premier League and available on a free transfer.

However, if the Dane is not willing to return to Spurs, I would not be surprised if the club make a move for McKennie.
