Report: Paratici plotting double raid of Serie A club in January for Spurs

CMW.it have claimed that Fabio Paratici is eyeing a potential double deal for Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi and Giorgio Scalvini when the transfer window opens in January.

Malinovskyi was heavily linked with a move to Spurs towards the end of the summer transfer window (TuttoMercatoWeb), but the attacking midfielder stayed put with Atalanta.

Meanwhile, Scalvini only made his senior debut for Atalanta in October of last year, aged just 17, and has already won many admirers with his displays over the last 12 months.

The centre-back has racked up nine appearances in the Serie A so far this season, and CMW.it state that he is on the radars of several big Italian clubs.

The report states that Tottenham also have their eye on the versatile defender and are ready to launch an offer for him in January.

It is asserted that Atalanta are willing to cash in on Malinovskyi as they want to avoid losing him for free when the Ukraian’s contract runs out next summer.

CMW.it suggest that Tottenham’s managing director of football intends to submit a combined offer of around €30m-€35m (£26.1m-£30.4m) for the two players.

Malinovskyi would fit Conte’s system well as he would be able to cover for Dejan Kulusevski in a 3-4-3 while also being able to play centrally in a 3-5-2. With Japhet Tanganga looking likely to leave the club in January, a move for an up-and-coming centre-back like Scalvini would also make sense.
