Report: Paratici set for busy transfer market with up to 13 departures at Spurs

According to Football.London, Spurs’ managing director of football, Fabio Paratici has as many as 13 exits to finalise over the coming weeks.

Spurs have moved uncharacteristically early in this summer’s transfer window. Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, and Richarlison have already arrived in N17 (Football.London), with Clement Lenglet not far behind (Fabrizio Romano).

With Steven Bergwijn set to join Ajax in a deal worth £28 million (Mail Online), Football.London claim that Spurs are now expected to negotiate a number of departures.

Midfielders Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, and Tanguy Ndombele have all been linked with permanent moves away this summer in search of regular football as they do not appear to be in Antonio Conte’s future plans, with Sergio Reguilon in a similar position.

The same may be said of Welsh centre-back Joe Rodon, who is reportedly keen on securing a starting spot ahead of the World Cup kicking off in November. Whether this is achieved through a loan move or a permanent deal remains to be seen.

Both Emerson Royal (Daily Mail) and Bryan Gil (Marca) have been linked with moves to La Liga sides this summer. However, Football.London report that Conte may give Gil a chance to prove himself in pre-season, whilst any deal for Royal would have to meet the club’s financial demands.

Another permanent departure could come in the form of Jack Clarke. Journalist Scott Wilson has previously claimed that Sunderland are keen on taking Clarke on a permanent deal after he impressed on loan with the Black Cats last season.

Youngsters Pape Matar Sarr, Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett, and Harvey White could all be sent out on loan to further their development after the Lilywhites’ pre-season trip to South Korea which departs on Saturday.

Now is the time to start moving on these players, whether that is a loan move or on a permanent basis. It’s great to see Conte imprint his mark on the squad with incomings, but Spurs need to trim the fat so he is able to focus fully on training the squad that he sees taking this club to the next level.
