Report: Paratici wants ‘first resounding blow’ at Spurs by signing Euros star

According to a report from Club Doria 46, Fabio Paratici wants Mikkel Damsgaard to be the first player who arrives through the door at Tottenham this summer.

Damsgaard was one of the most exciting attackers on show in the European Championships, playing a key role in Denmark’s march to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Tottenham are rumoured to be eyeing a summer move for the 21-year-old but Sampdoria president, Massimo Ferrero has insisted that the winger will not be sold unless the club’s asking price is met.

Reports from Italy have indicated that the Denmark international’s value has now risen to around £34m on the back of his impressive showing in the Euros.

If the latest information from Club Doria 46 is to believed, Spurs remain interested in Damsgaard, with Paratici keen to strike the ‘first resounding blow of his new adventure’ at Spurs by snapping up the Sampdoria star.

However, it is revealed that the Lilywhites are far from alone in their pursuit of the winger, with several other Premier League clubs also showing interest.

Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham are all named in the report as possible destinations for Damsgaard this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

One would think that a move to Spurs would be a much more appealing proposition for Damsgaard than the other clubs credited with an interest in the 21-year-old. Perhaps Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could also help influence the youngster’s decision.
