Report: Paratici wants to sign defender Conte is ‘in love with’ for Spurs

Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici has identified Torino defender Wilfried Singo as a transfer target this summer but completing a move is currently difficult, according to Tuttosport.

Singo, 21, has emerged as one of the most talented players on the Serie A side’s roster since breaking into the side last season.

The Ivorian has been a near ever-present for Torino this term too – playing in all but one league game – but could cause the club some issues with his contract, which expires in the summer of next year (Transfermarkt).

And that could allow Spurs to enter the picture, with Tuttosport reporting chief Paratici has already started laying down the groundwork in sounding out a transfer for the right-back.

Manager Antonio Conte is said to be ‘in love with’ Singo and would sanction a transfer, although the report goes on to explain that Torino are not interested in selling the player just yet.

Paratici and Conte seem to admire Singo and both will know enough about him considering their previous work in Italian football.

A transfer does seem a bit tricky at present given Torino aren’t keen to sell right now, but there is a price for every player and they could be able to secure a deal if they negotiate well enough.
