Report: Paratici’s relationship with club chief could help ‘facilitate’ a Spurs exit

Fabio Paratici’s positive relationship with Napoli chief Cristiano Giuntoli could help facilitate a move to the Serie A for Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to La Repubblica (29/07/22 via Napoli Magazine and SportWitness).

Paratici is said to have a strong working connection with Giuntoli from his time on the board of Juventus, which could give a boost to Lo Celso’s proposed switch to Naples.

The report also adds Napoli will increase their pursuit of the 26-year-old once the future of Piotr Zielinski is clarified, with West Ham showing heavy interest in the Poland international.

Napoli have looked for potential replacements and landed on Lo Celso with Spurs valuing the Argentine at €22 million, although they are open to letting him leave the club on loan (Corriere dello Sport).

Lo Celso’s future in North London was recently made clear by Antonio Conte, who left him out of his plans for the club’s pre-season friendlies.

He failed to make an appearance during their summer preparations and is now on a shortlist of players Spurs are likely keen to offload before the end of the transfer window (Evening Standard).

Paratici’s time in Italy with Juventus will have gathered him a big list of contacts and close relations and that seems to be the case with Napoli chief Giuntoli.

And with Napoli keen on taking Lo Celso, the pair’s solid relationship could definitely help get a deal over the line that is good for both parties.
