Paris Saint-Germain could be set to challenge Tottenham Hotspur in their quest to sign Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot, according to the latest reports from Portugal.
The Sun reported on Tuesday that Spurs were considering making a move for Dalot after Man United opened the door for the defender to leave Old Trafford.
The report asserted that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the young defender and that the Red Devils were willing to sell him to raise funds after Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s fantastic first season at Old Trafford.
Portuguese publication O Jogo (as relayed by Sport Witness) have reinforced that United are open to letting Dalot leave. They add that PSG are very attentive to the 21-year-old’s situation and could move for him as a replacement for Thomas Meunier.
It is revealed that United are willing to part ways with Dalot this summer for a fee of around €35m to €40m, which apparently not a barrier for the Ligue 1 champions.
Spurs Web Opinion
Dalot is a fabulous talent, who has impressed me every single time I’ve watched him in action. However, I doubt that Spurs will be willing to pay the rumoured €35-€40m it would take to sign the 21-year-old.
