Report: Patson Daka’s agent informs Tottenham of his client’s desire amidst links

Tottenham’s hopes of landing RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka appear to be over as The Evening Standard reports that the club have been informed of the striker’s desire to stay put in Austria.

Football.London reported on Thursday that Spurs could be set to turn their attentions to Daka as their search for a suitable Harry Kane back up continues.

With the Zambian international being represented by 12Management, an organisation run by former Spurs striker Frederic Kanoute, it was suggested that the North Londoners could use their connections with the 43-year-old to their advantage.

However, the Evening Standard now reveal that Konoute has informed his former club that his client has no intentions of leaving Salzburg this transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

While we were being linked mainly with homegrown strikers over the past month or so, it has become clear over the last few days that we have turned our attentions abroad once again. Based on reports, it does sound like Milik might be our number one target. I suspect Spurs might be playing the waiting game to see if Napoli reduce their asking price towards the end of the window.
