Report: Paulo Dybala contract developments could result in free transfer

According to Tyc Sports, rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala is set to leave Juventus in the summer after deciding not to renew his contract with the Serie A giants.

Spurs famously came close to signing Dybala in the summer of 2019, with the transfer collapsing on deadline day due to issues with the Argentine’s image rights.

Dybala’s current deal at the Allianz Stadium runs out at the end of the season and TyC Sports reveal that the Argentine had initially reached an agreement with the club to renew his deal.

However, it is explained that Juve decided to reduce their offer to the 28-year-old and the player has subsequently decided not to extend his contract.

Dybala is now free to talk to foreign clubs and he is thought to be willing to listen to offers ahead of a free transfer in the summer.

The Sun reveal that Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the Juve star while Spurs have been ‘major admirers’ of the forward.

Conte will certainly be looking to add to his forward line and one would think that the opportunity to sign Dybala on a free transfer would be extremely appealing for Spurs.

However, the move could also depend on who the North Londoners manage to bring in this month, with the club thought to be prioritising signing a forward before the window closes.
