Report: Serie A forward ready to snub interest from Spurs and Newcastle

Juventus striker Paulo Dybala looks set to snub interest from the Premier League in order to continue his career in Italy, according to Football Transfers.

The Argentina international is out of contract at the Allianz Stadium at the end of the current campaign and is set to walk away this summer on a sour note after the Italian giants went back on an agreement over a new lucrative contract (Fabrizio Romano).

The report claims that while there is interest from English clubs in the form of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Newcastle United but is instead hopeful of remaining in the Italian top flight.

Inter Milan are said to be keen to land the 28-year-old on a free transfer on a four-year deal worth between €7-8 million-a-year (£5.8-£6.6million), which could see them sanction the sale of Spurs-linked Latauro Martinez, who is also interesting Atletico Madrid.

Inter’s city rivals AC Milan are not thought to be in the race for Dybala, who was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer of 2019 while Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge (BBC).

A move for Dybala seems unlikely given the high wages he is likely to command as a free agent and does not exactly fit the role of a back-up for Harry Kane. His injury record in recent times is also questionable, with a move for Martinez appearing to be a better option.
