Report: PL club do not want to sell Spurs-linked star despite dwindling contract

Football Insider have revealed that even though Tottenham target Tosin Adarabioyo has turned down a new contract offered by Fulham, the Cottagers do not wish to sell him in January.

Last week, The Sun’s Tom Barclay broke the news that Adarabioyo had turned down a new deal offered by Fulham and had informed the club that he wants to leave as a free agent next summer.

Subsequently, 90 min reported a couple of days ago that Fulham could consider selling the 26-year-old next month if he does not pen a new deal, suggesting that both Spurs and Monaco could once again pursue the defender in January following their failed summer approach.

Fulham do not wish to sell Tosin Adarabioyo

Football Insider has said that even though Adarabioyo currently has no plans to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage, Fulham still hold ‘a slim chance’ of persuading the centre-back to do so.

Additionally, the outlet explains that even if the English defender refuses to sign on the dotted line, the West London club feel that selling him in January would be ‘a huge mistake’.

The publication claims that Marco Silva’s men are prepared to lose Adarabioyo on a free transfer next summer, given his importance to the side.

Spurs Web Opinion

It seems quite clear that Adarabioyo’s preference is to leave on a free transfer next summer as he would have more options to choose from and would be able to get a much more lucrative contract. I suspect Spurs have already moved on from the Englishman and are now studying other options for January.
