Report: PL club identify replacement for 22-year-old linked with Spurs

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey has revealed in his column on HITC that Crystal Palace are now planning for the possibility of losing Michael Olise, who is on Tottenham’s radar.

Olise has come on leaps and bounds since swapping Reading for Palace back in 2021 and even though the winger has missed much of this season with a hamstring injury, he has caught the eye whenever he has played, having scored six goals and provided three assists in 11 league matches (Transfermarkt).

It was HITC who first reported back in January that Tottenham were interested in the 22-year-old and had already ‘fielded an enquiry’ to his representatives.

Crystal Palace are planning for life after Olise

Bailey has now revealed that amidst the growing interest in Olise, Palace have already started identifying potential replacements for the winger.

However, the journalist says that joining Manchester United would be the Eagles star’s top priority since he grew up supporting the Red Devils.

Interestingly Bailey adds that the two players that Palace have identified as replacements for Olise are former Spurs winger Jack Clarke and Hull City’s Jaden Philogene.

Several outlets have suggested over recent weeks that Tottenham are also keeping a close eye on Philogene’s development and are plotting a summer move for the Hull youngster (TEAMtalk).

Just like with Pedro Neto, Olise’s injury record might be a cause of concern for Tottenham, with the Palace winger having had a recurrence of the same hamstring injury on a couple of occasions this season.
