Report: PL club want £30m for rumoured Spurs target even if they are relegated

Norwich City have reportedly put a £30million price tag on rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Max Aarons this summer.

The Canaries look destined for the drop, as they find themselves six points off safety with seven matches left to be played.

With trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City still on the horizon for Daniel Farke’s side, it will likely take something special for them to retain their Premier League status.

A report by talkSPORT has now claimed that Norwich are likely to sell four of their first-team stars if they get relegated including Aarons, who Spurs have been heavily linked with over the past couple of months (Foot Mercato).

It is suggested that Tottenham are continuing to keep close tabs on the 20-year-old but could face competition from their North London rivals Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on signing the young defender but it is claimed that Norwich’s £30million asking price is likely to prove too much for the Gunners.

Spurs Web Opinion

Out of the various right-backs we have been linked with, it is safe to say that Aarons is the player most Spurs fans seem to want. While I think he could be a decent signing for us, I believe there are better options for us out there.

Timothy Castagne is another name who seems to be on our radar and I think he will be a great fit for our system. Given that he reportedly has just a year to run on his contract with Atalanta, he could be less expensive than the Norwich star as well.
