Report: PL forward linked with Spurs to hold talks over future in ‘next few days’

Rumoured Tottenham target Anthony Martial is set to hold talks about his future at Manchester United with interim manager Ralf Rangnick over the next few days, according to Sky Sports.

Martial has struggled for game time at Old Trafford this season and his agent revealed earlier this month that the forward wants to leave the club in January.

Spurs are thought to be longtime admirers of Martial and were reportedly looking to finally complete a deal for the French international during the summer.

Journalist Ekrem Konur has said that Tottenham and their North London rivals Arsenal are readying offers for the 26-year-old in January.

Sky Sports have now revealed that the former Monaco man is set for crunch talks over his future at United this week.

The report does not mention Spurs but reveals that the Martial is on the radars of Sevilla, Juventus and Barcelona ahead of January. All three clubs are said to be looking to complete an initial loan deal for the Man Utd man.

It is asserted that Martial’s preference would be to join Sevilla as he believes he is more likely to get regular game time at Julen Lopetegui’s side.

Spurs Web Opinion

Martial would suit Conte’s system well as he would be able to play across the front three in a 3-4-3 and also as part of a two-man striker partnership in a 3-5-2. However, if Spurs did hold a serious interest in Martial, more reputable sources in England would have probably picked up the story by now.
