Report: PL club in the market for £33m-rated striker linked with Tottenham

According to Foot Mercato, Leicester City are pushing ahead with a move for Angers striker Mohamed-Ali Cho, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Ali Cho broke into the Angers first-team last season and has become a prominent part of the Ligue 1 club’s starting eleven this campaign.

The France Under-21 international, who can play up front or on either flank, has seemingly caught the attention of several Premier League clubs including Spurs.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed earlier this week that Tottenham were in talks over a deal for Ali Cho, while Sky Sports even suggested that the North London club had made an offer for the 18-year-old.

In addition, the likes of Chelsea and Southampton have also been credited with an interest in the young forward (The Sun).

However, if Foot Mercato’s latest report is to be believed, it is Leicester who are now pushing ahead with a move for Ali Cho before Monday’s transfer deadline.

The report claims that the Foxes have sent representatives to France to have discussions with Angers over a deal for the teenager.

The Ligue 1 club are said to be demanding €40m (£33.3m) to sell the forward this window.

Spurs Web Opinion

Ali Cho is a fantastic talent but he is one for the future rather than someone who can make an instant impact in the Premier League. Paratici certainly has bigger fish to fry over the next few days, with Spurs in need of at least a couple of reinforcements to give themselves a fighting chance of finishing in the top four.
