Report: Player agrees personal terms with Spurs ahead of potential transfer

Corriere Dello Sport are now reporting that Milan Skrinair has agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a possible move to North London.

The speculation linking Spurs with a move for the Slovakian international has gone into hyperdrive over the last few days, with Tottenham’s chief scout Steve Hitchen spotted in Italy with Skriniar’s agent as talks reportedly continue over a deal (Gianluca Di Marzio).

Corriere Dello Sport now explain that Inter Milan want to cash-in on the central defender in order to balance the books this summer and are seeking a fee of around €50-€60 million for him.

Skriniar is said to be very tempted at the prospect of a move to Spurs as he has always been a fan of the Premier League and knows that he will not be a starter for Antonio Conte next season.

The report asserts that, while the 25-year-old has agreed on terms with Tottenham ahead of a transfer, the Lilywhites are not ready to meet Inter’s asking price for the defender as things stand.

Spurs Web Opinion

Some Spurs fans seem to be wondering why Inter are ready to let Skriniar leave if he is supposed to be as good as some people are making out. Antonio Conte does not seem to think he is suited to playing in a back three but the 25-year-old has demonstrated all the attributes necessary to succeed in the Premier League. While Skriniar is not the quickest, he is extremely physical, dominant in the air and is very good defending one vs one.
