The report says that Gallagher, who has just a year left to run on his contract with Chelsea, is prepared to see out his deal and leave on a free transfer next summer.

Spurs have been linked with Gallagher for the past year

The outlet backs up what we have heard from other sources by stating that both Spurs and Villa have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old.

In fact, the Villans have already reached out over a deal for the midfielder while Chelsea expect the Lilywhites to also soon make an approach.

Conor Gallagher could stay at Chelsea this summer

The report states that the Blues want to cash in on their academy graduate to avoid the risk of losing him for nothing next summer, with the player valued at around £50m.

However, it is explained that Gallagher is prepared to stay at Stamford Bridge if the conditions for a move this summer do not meet his requirements.

The publication adds that the England international is ready to bide his time and will not be pressured into agreeing a transfer if he does not feel it is right for his career.

Gallagher made 50 appearances for Chelsea last season across all competitions, scoring seven goals (transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Gallagher has a lot of power in this scenario due to his contract situation. That might actually work in Tottenham’s favour as the midfielder might prefer to move to the North London side even if Chelsea prefer to sell him to Villa instead.

The England international, however, is a boyhood Chelsea fan and will certainly be wary about upsetting his existing fanbase by moving to their biggest rivals.
