Report: Player described as ‘Conte loyalist’ may follow Italian out of Spurs

CalcioMercato have now claimed that Ivan Perisic could be on his way out of Tottenham after just one season following the club’s decision to call time on Antonio Conte’s project.

The report looks into how Conte’s departure will affect Spurs’ transfer plans during the summer transfer window.

Perisic is described as a ‘Conte loyalist’ and it is explained that despite the Croat’s contract running out in 2024, the club have not begun talks over a renewal.

It is thus explained that the 34-year-old could leave N17 if a ‘convincing offer’ comes his way at the end of the season.

CalcioMercato also suggest that Conte’s departure could affect Harry Kane’s future as the Italian is said to have convinced the centre-forward to commit himself to the Tottenham project.

The publication adds that the England captain is on the radars of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United this summer.

Finally, the report also discusses the possibility of Dejan Kulusevski following Conte out of the door.

However, it is asserted that it would take an offer of €37m-€40m (£32.5m-£35.1m) to sign the winger from Tottenham in the event that the Premier League club finish in the top four and are obligated to sign the Swede permanently.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perisic is the only player whose future will be affected by Conte’s departure as the Croat might not fit into the next manager’s plans if he employs a back four.

The claims being made about Kane and Kulusevski in this report appear to be baseless speculation.
