Report: Player happy to stay at Spurs despite claims club will listen to bids

Football London have reported that Harry Winks is currently happy to stay at Tottenham next season, despite other sources linking him with a potential move away.

The report claims that Winks could represent vital funds for Tottenham in the summer transfer window and are believed to be open to ‘realistic offers’.

Reports revealed earlier this month that the North London club are apparently open to listening to offers for the 25-year-old, with Paratici informing Winks of that fact.

The Telegraph then claimed that Aston Villa were interested in signing the Spurs central midfielder this summer as they look to bolster their squad.

This comes after a below-par season for Winks under Jose Mourinho in which he played just 15 Premier League matches (TransferMarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be surprised if Winks wanted to stay unless he was guaranteed regular football next season. The World Cup is just one year away and the midfielder was in Gareth Southgate’s squad not long ago. A full campaign playing well for an Aston Villa could get him back in.
