Report: Player linked with Spurs this summer signs new contract with club

By signing Carlos Vinicius during the transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur finally addressed an issue that had been plaguing them for over a year – a lack of a natural back up to Harry Kane.

In Vinicius, Spurs seem to have signed Jose Mourinho’s first-choice striker target for the summer transfer window (Football.London).

However, the move was anything but straight forward, with the Brazilian arriving at the club just days before the transfer window shut, after the Lilywhites had been linked with a whole host of strikers across Europe.

One relatively lesser-known name who was said to be on Spurs’ radar was Braga striker Paulinho, with O Jogo revealing last month that the Lilywhites were one of several clubs in England interested in his signature.

However, the report revealed back then that the North Londoners scoffed at the €30m asking price.

The same publication has now revealed that the experienced target man has penned a new contract with Braga until 2025 after failing to seal a move away from the club during the transfer window.
