Report: Player Paratici signed for Juventus wants to join a PL club in the Champions League

The Telegraph have revealed that Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot wants to move to the Premier League and that Tottenham are one of the clubs he would be open to joining.

The report claims that Rabiot, who was signed by Juventus when Fabio Paratici was the club’s chief football officer, has allegedly informed the Serie A club’s hierarchy that he wishes to depart this summer.

The midfielder is thought to be excited about the idea of playing in England and is said to want to join either Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea or Spurs as all four clubs can offer him Champions League football.

It is alleged that the Old Lady would be willing to sell Rabiot for a fee of around €15m-€20m (£13m-17m) this summer.

The report adds that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in re-signing the French international but the player has no desire to return to his former club as he wants to prove himself in the Premier League.

Rabiot is said to have an excellent relationship with Thomas Tuchel from their time together at PSG but Chelsea are not thought to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old.

The Telegraph also state that reports in Italy about Newcastle United’s interest in the French international are not true.

Spurs Web Opinion

With Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Skipp and Bentancur, we are pretty well stocked for central midfield options at the moment. While I can see Spurs moving for a number 8 like Weston McKennie later in the window, I do not think we will be in the market for a midfielder of Rabiot’s profile.
