Report: Player set for medical at Hotspur Way today after agreement is reached overnight

The Athletic have revealed that Richarlison is set to undergo his medical at Hotspur Way today after Tottenham reached an agreement in principle with Everton overnight.

The report reveals that Spurs and Everton will continue talks today, with the final details of the deal to be discussed.

The north London club are said to have agreed to pay an initial fee in the region of £50m to the Toffees and it is suggested that the deal could involve an extra £10m in add-ons to bring the total fee to around £60m.

The Athletic claim that Tottenham have already agreed on personal terms with the Brazilian forward.

Richarlison, who is set to leave Goodison Park after four years at the club, is said to be keen on testing himself on the European stage.

If the former Watford man passes his medical today, he will become Tottenham’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of wing-back Ivan Perisic, goalkeeper Fraser Forster and midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that the accounting year ends today is perhaps the reason why Everton were keen to complete the deal swiftly, given their FFP issues. Richarlison is an excellent addition to the squad and given his engine and tactical versatility, I see him as a natural fit in Conte’s set-up.
