Report: Player undergoing medical at Tottenham today

Leeds United’s Jack Clarke will today undergo a medical with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a move to the Premier League side, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the 18-year-old has been given permission to head to Hotspur Way to discuss personal terms ahead of completing a deal which is said to be worth £8.5million plus add-ons.

Clarke has reportedly made it clear to Leeds that he wants to make the move to the Champions League finalists and compete for a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad rather than being sent back on loan to Elland Road (Standard).

He made 25 appearances for the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa, scoring two goals and providing two assists and helped the club reach the Championship play-off semi-finals before losing to Derby County.

Should he put pen to paper, he will become the club’s first signing since the arrival of Lucas Moura from PSG back in January 2018 and could be soon followed through the door by Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele (The Mirror).

Opinion

Clarke has huge potential having shown real promise on the right wing with Leeds, he possesses pace and is not afraid of taking on defenders who are far more experienced.
