Report: Mauricio Pochettino airs transfer frustrations to Daniel Levy

Multiple reports in the British press have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy held crunch talks during the international break about the Argentine’s future (the Daily Mail and the Telegraph).

ESPN have now detailed what happened in the meeting between the pair. Based on their sources, they claim that the Tottenham manager used the opportunity to air his frustrations about the club’s recent transfer dealings.

Pochettino reportedly told Levy that the team is paying the price for a failure to reshape his squad during the last few transfer windows. It is suggested that the Argentine wanted the club to get rid of several first-team stars in the summer, but most ended up staying.

It is also claimed that some Spurs players have been left frustrated by Pochettino’s negative comments in the media at times this season.

Just like the Daily Mail article, ESPN also claim that defeat against West Ham could signal the end of Pochettino’s reign.

Spurs Web Opinion

Now that it is becoming clear how much is riding on the derby game on Saturday, hopefully, it will serve as the wake-up call for players to give their all and get all three points. Pochettino is responsible for making most of Tottenham’s stars the players they are today and one would think they would want to fight for him on Saturday.
