Report: Pochettino given £50m to spend in January

A report by the Telegraph today may go some way to warming the dampened Spurs souls after news of Harry Kane’s injury.

The news outlet claim that Pochettino has now been given £50m to spend in January if he so wishes.

The obvious choice would be to spend this money on a new forward and a centre mid in the wake of Tottenham’s recent injury crisis.

It is unlikely that Daniel Levy and co will go for any huge names, but that money could be spent well in strengthening a few key positions.

Spurs will also need reinforcements with the departure of Mousa Dembele, as well as the likely outgoings in the summer.

Tottenham have enjoyed some success in the January market in recent years, most notably securing the signature of Lucas Moura last season.

Another bargain deal could be on the horizon, and Spurs fans will have their fingers crossed that it comes soon.
