Report: Pochettino has snubbed the opportunity to sign ‘at least’ three players

Tottenham Hotspur have until 5pm on Thursday to recruit any new players before the transfer window closes.

Despite the North London club having smashed their club record transfer fee at the start of last month following the signature of Tanguy Ndombele and the arrival of highly-rated teenager Jack Clarke, there have been no other incomings.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has already snubbed the opportunity to sign three players who were offered to him by the hierachy at Spurs.

Pochettino recently launched a public outburst when he claimed that he is no longer involved in transfers at Spurs — and called for his title to be changed from manager to coach (Guardian).

The Spurs boss sits on a transfer committee along with with chairman Daniel Levy, chief scout Steve Hitchen and head of coaching and development John McDermott (Telegraph).

The report did not stipulate which players were at the heart of the potential transfers that Pochettino has decided to snub.

It is certainly going to be an interesting and tense few days.
