Report: Pochettino included these seven academy stars in first team training

Tottenham Hotspur returned to training this week ahead of their pre-season tour to Asia in a couple of weeks.

Due to international commitments, with some playing in the Nations League, African Cup of Nations, and Copa America, the Spurs stars will be returning in waves.

The first group to arrive at Hotspur way for the 2019/20 season included the likes of Harry Winks, Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies, Paulo Gazzaniga, Erik Lamela, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker-Peters, Lucas Moura, Oliver Skipp, Alfie Whiteman, and more.

With the first senior pre-season game scheduled for July 21 against Juventus, Poch will now be thinking about his tour squad.

It is around this time in pre-season that the Argentine usually singles out one or two academy stars to bring through in the next campaign.

Last year it was Oliver Skipp, and Luke Amos, before that it was Harry Winks, but who could make the step up next season?

To make up the numbers this week in training, Pochettino selected seven youngsters to join the first team, including Troy Parrot, Jack Roles, Harvey White, Brandon Austin, George Marsh, Anthony Georgiou, and Jamie Bowden (Football London).

This would tend to hint that at least one of these faces may be seen regularly around the first team set up come the new season.
