Report: Pochettino offered job away from Premier League after year without work

It has almost been exactly one year since Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board.

The Lilywhites replaced the Argentine with Jose Mourinho within 24-hours of his firing, despite him leading the club to a Champions League Final just months before.

Pochettino had been in charge in North London for five and a half years, taking Spurs from Europa League qualification to Champions League challengers.

While Mourinho has made use of the past 12 months by rebuilding the Spurs side in his own image, Pochettino has taken some time away from the game.

Recently, the former Tottenham boss has been linked with the Manchester United hot seat, but reports have now emerged of a new potential suitor.

Marca have reported that La Liga side, Athletic Bilbao have offered Pochettino a route back into management as current boss, Gaizka Garitano is hanging on by a thread.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Unfortunately for Bilbao, the only three jobs I see Pochettino taking in the near future are Man United, PSG, or Real Madrid.
