Report: Pochettino to arrive in Barcelona to weigh up next move

According to a report in Sky Sports, former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will return to Europe next week and start assessing his next move.

The report claims that the 47-year-old has already received multiple offers from across Europe and will begin evaluating all of them from his home in Barcelona.

The Argentine has already been linked with the likes of Bayern Munich (The Telegraph), Manchester United (Manchester Evening News) and even North London rivals Arsenal (The Athletic) since being sacked as Spurs manager at the end of last month.

The former Southampton and Espanyol manager said last year that he would rather work on a farm than manage Arsenal or Barcelona given his links with Tottenham and Espanyol (Sports Mole).

The Argentine recently visited his hometown of Rosario and boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys after being relieved of his duties as Spurs manager.

Whilst in his native Argentina, Pochettino admitted that he does not need to much time off before taking up his next managerial project (Fox Sports in Argentina).

Spurs Web Opinion

If I were Pochettino, I would remain patient until the end of the current season as I believe it is only a matter of time before Zinedine Zidane and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer come under more pressure at Real Madrid and Manchester United respectively. While neither manager looks close to the sack at the moment, things can change drastically with a few bad results.
