Report: Pochettino’s classy gesture to journalists in Shanghai

Mauricio Pochettino is almost universally adored and admired, not just by Tottenham fans, but by football fans in general.

The 47-year-old is an extremely passionate individual who enjoys forging relationships with people. He also retains his humility and always treats people with respect.

The Daily Mail has reported that the Argentine made a nice gesture to the journalists during the club’s recent trip to Shanghai where they took on Manchester United.

On returning to the team hotel after a meal at a top Shanghai restaurant, Pochettino apparently noticed some journalists having a drink and a meal with the club’s media team. The Argentine joined them for a brief chat before leaving.

When the group went to pay, they were informed that the Spurs manager had already taken care of the bill. Of course, it could have also been motivated by expediency on the part of the Argentine to keep the journalists on his side.

Pochettino seems to be extremely relaxed this summer in stark contrast to a couple of months ago when he was issuing warnings about Tottenham’s ability to compete. This indicates that the club are actively pursuing players who are capable of taking the team to the next level.
