Report: Positive update on Harry Kane’s Spurs future amid latest Bayern bid rejection

The Evening Standard have revealed that Harry Kane is now leaning towards remaining at Tottenham Hotspur after the North London club rejected Bayern Munich’s latest offer.

After Bayern’s €100m (£86m) offer for Kane was turned down by Spurs yesterday, multiple sources have claimed that the striker now looks more likely to remain at his boyhood club for one more season (Daily Mail and Kaveh Solhekol).

Will Harry Kane stay at Tottenham?

The Evening Standard have now reported something quite similar, stating that a move to the Allianz Stadium is now ‘considered unlikely’ for the 30-year-old at this stage of the window. The report adds that the 30-year-old is now prepared to stay at Spurs and see out the final 12 months of his contract.

Kane is said to have been impressed by new head coach Ange Postecoglou during pre-season and is said to be enjoying training under the Australian.

The publication also suggests that Kane has made it clear that he wants his future resolved before the start of Tottenham’s Premier League season which begins on Sunday at Brentford, which is why Bayern now only have a few days to come up with a suitable offer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Bayern Munich have evidently put all their eggs into the Kane basket right from the start of the summer, which is why I fully expect them to make one more improved offer for the Tottenham man over the next couple of days.

Spurs fans should not be counting their chickens just yet as there is still a chance that an agreement could be reached between the two clubs.
