According to TEAMtalk, Ange Postecoglou has recommended the signing of Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite to the Tottenham hierarchy despite the high price tag put on the centre-back.
Branthawaite has had an exceptional season at Goodison Park and is expected to be part of the England squad that heads to Germany for the Euros this summer.
Many clubs have taken note of the youngster’s performances and TEAMtalk say that several top sides are expected to come calling for the player this summer.

According to the outlet, Postecoglou has suggested Branthwaite’s name to his bosses at Spurs but the Lilywhites are not expected to have a free run at the player.
The report reveals that Man Utd are also big fans of the centre-back but the £70m fee demanded by Everton is ‘hard to swallow’ for the Red Devils.
In addition, the 21-year-old is also said to have emerged as a target for Bayern Munich, who are looking to bolster their backline this summer.

I do not think it would make much sense for Spurs to spend £70m on another centre-back when Postecoglou already has Romero, Van de Ven and Dragusin at his disposal.
It would be more prudent for the Lilywhites to sign someone like Adarabioyo as their fourth choice and spend the bulk of their transfer budget on signing a top number six and a world-class forward.
