Football London’s Alasdair Gold has reported that Ange Postecoglou made a positive first impression on Harry Kane this week at Hotspur Way.
Although Postecoglou has been training with members of the Spurs first-team and academy for the past week, international players were only due to return in the past couple of days.

As such, the new Spurs manager only met Kane for the first time when he reported for pre-season duty this week in North London.
Postecoglou makes a positive impression on Kane
Football London claim that the duo have ‘got on well’ since linking up at Hotspur Way, and Postecoglou has left a ‘positive’ first impression on Tottenham’s main man.
However, the report claims that any discussions were more centred around a player and manager getting to know each other, rather than a dramatic contract showdown.
Spurs Web Opinion:
A small but positive step. Postecoglou does not strike me as the type of manager who will beg any player to stay. He will outline his project to Kane, ask for his input, and then show him progress on the training pitch and in games. The rest will be up to Harry, and we must respect his final decision.
