Report: Potential £27m deal depends on Spurs selling player beforehand

According to a report in The Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur have been offered Roma right-back Alessandro Florenzi as a replacement for Kieran Trippier and it is said that the North London club are considering signing him.

The report claims that Tottenham’s move for Florenzi will be dependent on whether they can sell Serge Aurier this summer.

Florenzi, who came through the Roma academy, has been an almost ever present in the Giallorossi defence over the last several seasons.

The 28-year-old, who has 32 international caps for Italy is said to be valued at £27 million by the Serie A side.

The report claims that Spurs are also tracking Napoli right back Elseid Hysaj, who Tottenham have been linked with extensively over the last few days. However, it is suggested that the Lilywhites are yet to make an approach for the Albanian.

Other than these two right-backs, Tottenham have also been linked with Dani Alves, who is now a free agent after his contract with PSG expired (Mundo Deportivo).

Spurs Web Opinion

Hsyaj and Florenzi are both solid but fairly unspectacular going forward. We at Spurs Web would prefer seeing Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters, and Juan Foyth competing for the right back spot rather than bringing in someone like Hsyaj.
