Report: Potential blow for Spurs as Serie A club make transfer U-turn

In what comes as a potential blow to Tottenham’s hopes of signing Dejan Kulusevski, CalcioMercato have revealed that Juventus have done a U-turn on the winger and want to hang on to him until the end of the season.

Kulusevski has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham over recent weeks amidst his struggles for game time at Juve this season.

It was previously reported that Juve were open to cashing in on the 21-year-old, with Spurs facing competition from Arsenal for the wide-man’s signature.

The Old Lady were alleged to value the Swede at around €35m (£29.1m) amidst discussions with Spurs.

However, CaclioMercato have now revealed that the ACL injury suffered by Federico Chiesa has changed Juve’s stance on Kulusevski.

With Chiesa now expected to be out for the remainder of the season, it is revealed that Kulusevski is set to be ‘integrated’ into Massimiliano Allegri’s plans.

The report further adds that despite the former Atalanta man attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham, an offer has not yet come in for the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not disappointed by this news as I was never on the Kulusevski hype train. I had my doubts over whether the Swede would be an upgrade on what we have.

However, on the back of this news, Tottenham might decide to hang on to Steven Bergwijn until the end of the season.
