Report: Potential boost for Spurs in Adarabioyo pursuit as Monaco make decision

Foot Mercato’s latest update comes as a boost to Tottenham’s pursuit of Tosin Adarabioyo, with the publication claiming that Monaco are ready to give up on the Fulham star and turn their attention to other alternatives.

A few days ago, RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins revealed that Fulham are pushing Adarabioyo, to choose Tottenham over Monaco as Cottagers boss Marco Silva wants to sign Eric Dier as part of the operation.

However, it was explained that the centre-back himself prefers to join the Ligue 1 side over the Lilywhites.

Fulham are now not responding to Monaco

Foot Mercato have now claimed that despite Adarabioyo wanting to join Monaco, the Cottagers are now not even responding to the French club’s enquiries about the player.

The report states that the principality side now view the operation as being ‘complex’ due to the involvement of intermediaries, with the transfer said to have a ‘good chance of failing’.

The publication adds that Adarabioyo might even run down his contract at Craven Cottage and leave on a free transfer next summer, which is why Monaco are ready to turn their attention to other alternatives.

Spurs Web Opinion

By the sounds of this report and others from France over recent days, it seems like Adarabioyo is not too keen on joining Tottenham, perhaps because he is fearful that he might not get much game time at N17. So, Spurs might have already started looking beyond the Fulham man towards other centre-back targets.
