Tottenham Hotspur central defender Joe Rodon could become the subject of interest from Brighton in the transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
The report claims that should Newcastle United secure the signature of Seagulls stopper Dan Burn, it could pave the way for an interest in the Welshman.
The Magpies are said to be preparing an improved bid for Burn ahead of Monday’s deadline (Guardian).
Rodon has struggled to force his way into boss Antonio Conte’s plans this season, the centre-back has made just six appearances for Tottenham, and has not featured since the dismal Conference League defeat at NS Mura in November. (transfermarkt).
The former Swansea City player currently finds himself behind the likes of Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez in the pecking order in north London.
The Telegraph reported in December that Newcastle, Watford, Leeds United and Brighton were all are interested in signing Rodon this month.

Rodon is a player with potential, however, it is clear to see that he is not in the plans of Antonio Conte as a regular in his backline. The 24-year-old needs to head out on loan at the very least for the sake of his international career with Wales.
