Report: Premier League club chiefs come up with plan to finish all 92 remaining games

According to the Sun, the Premier League chiefs have come up with a radical plan to complete the current season after it was suspended due to the spread of the coronavirus.

There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding when footballing action will resume amidst the virus.

The Premier League clubs have reportedly decided that they are ready to play all 92 remaining matches behind closed doors this season in order to ensure that the campaign is finished.

All matches will be played in two or three neutral venues, most likely in the midlands, and it is claimed that all games will be shown on television.

Teams are reportedly prepared to play a match every three days to finish the season and the same grounds could be used to stage more than one game per day.

It is asserted that using only a limited number of stadiums would help keep the number of medical staff and police needed down to a minimum.

The clubs will reportedly offer up their revolutionary proposal at a crunch meeting on Thursday.

If this is the only way to ensure that we get to complete the season on time without disrupting the start of next season too much, then I’m all for it. I believe the authorities must find some way of completing the season and playing it behind closed doors at neutral venues seems to be the best option.
