Report: Premier League club end their summer interest in Tottenham player

The Guardian have reported that Manchester United have now ended their interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, this summer.

Although Erik Ten Hag had made the England captain his priority signing, Man United ultimately felt that the money required to sign Kane would be unrealistic.

Spurs plan to keep Kane as Man United interest ends

Daniel Levy is hoping to keep hold of Kane beyond the summer, and will then attempt to convince him to sign a new contract during the final year of his Tottenham deal.

This comes after 90 Min also reported today that Spurs had informed Harry Kane he will not be sold this summer, and will enter the 2023/24 campaign as a Lilywhite player.

Spurs will be hoping this puts an end to the rumours, with the likes of Manchester United (Sky Sports), Bayern Munich (The Athletic), Real Madrid (Marca) and Paris Saint-Germain (Foot Mercato) being linked with Kane over the past month.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It does seem that Daniel Levy is choosing to roll the dice on attempting to convince Kane of a Tottenham stay. Knowing Levy, he must fancy his chances of pulling that off, as Spurs are likely missing out on £70m plus this summer by not selling up.
