Report: Premier League club have offer turned down for rumoured Spurs target

TEAMtalk have revealed that an offer from Everton for rumoured Tottenham target Arnaut Danjuma has been turned down by Villarreal, with Bournemouth now trying to convince the striker to move to the Vitality Stadium.

Tottenham’s interest in Danjuma came to light last week when The Daily Mail claimed that Antonio Conte’s side are one of four Premier League clubs eyeing a move for the forward. It was suggested that Villarreal are ready to offload the 25-year-old after he had fallen out with his teammates.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed at the start of this week that the Netherlands international’s agent had flown to London to hold talks with several clubs regarding a potential temporary move.

Fabrizio Romano then took to social media on Wednesday to reveal that the striker’s representatives were in contact with clubs from England, France, Italy and Holland as they want to consider ‘all options’ before making a decision.

TEAMtalk have now provided an update on Danjuma’s future, stating that the Toffees have already seen an offer for the player turned down by Villarreal.

The publication states that the striker is now set to meet with Gary O’Neil, who will try to convince the player to re-join Bournemouth, where he spent 18 months prior to his move to Spain in 2021.

The report adds that the Cherries boss will find it tough to convince Danjuma, given the number of rival clubs who have expressed an interest in the Dutchman.

Spurs Web Opinion

One can understand why Danjuma is a tempting option for so many clubs, particularly if it is true that Villarreal are willing to loan him. However, not only do Spurs not need another centre-forward but the 25-year-old is also a tier below the calibre of player that Antonio Conte would be looking to add to his squad.
