Brighton and Hove Albion have shown interest in snapping up Joe Rodon during the January transfer window, The Times have revealed.
Rodon has not had a regular run in the Tottenham starting eleven since his move from Swansea City a year and a half ago.
The 24-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game since Antonio Conte took over at Spurs at the start of November, with his only start under the Italian coming in Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to NS Mura in the Europa Conference League.
Conte admitted last week that he sees the Wales international as a backup for Eric Dier in the central sweeper position in his back three.
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Rodon is frustrated by a lack of game time and is open to leaving on loan in January.
This information has been corroborated by Football Insider, who claim the 24-year-old is now ‘100 per cent’ set on securing a move away from the club in the winter, whether it be a permanent or a temporary one.
The Times have now claimed that Brighton could be a potential destination for Rodon in January. Graham Potter, who worked with the centre-back at Swansea in the 2018-19 season, is said to want to reunite with the Spurs man at the Amex Stadium.

If Spurs do sign a central defender in January, which I expect them to, then it would be ideal to loan Joe Rodon out. Selling the 24-year-old might be a mistake as we do not know what he is capable of when given a run in the side.
A six-month spell at Brighton could be ideal for him as he would have the chance to demonstrate that he can perform consistently in the Premier League.
