According to TEAMtalk, Newcastle United have made enquiries to Tottenham regarding Dele Alli’s availability ahead of the January transfer window.
Despite Antonio Conte speaking in glowing terms about Alli’s talent upon arriving at Spurs, the midfielder is yet to start a single Premier League game under the Italian.
It was reported earlier this week that the Spurs head coach has given the club the green light to move the former MK Dons man on in January.
According to The Telegraph, the 25-year-old is on Newcastle’s radar and is also attracting interest from German clubs.
TEAMtalk have now backed up that claim, stating that the Magpies are one of the clubs to have expressed interest in Alli.
The report states that Spurs are ready to listen to offers for the midfielder and he is one of the players that Eddie Howe’s side have their eye on as part of their ‘big splash’ in January to help them steer clear from relegation.
It is explained, however, that Newcastle want to sign the Tottenham man on loan and want a clause added that would give them the option to buy the player in the summer if they cling on to their Premier League status.

I suspect Levy will only sanction a loan deal for Dele if it comes with an obligation to buy for around £20m-£25m.
I do not think a relegation scrap at Newcastle would suit Dele. If he cannot move to a club like Villa or Brighton, he would be better off going abroad.
